STAND is Recruiting: Board Director & Chair of Finance Committee

STAND is looking for a new Board Director to take on the role of Chair of our Finance Committee. This is a great opportunity for someone with financial or accounting expertise to help lead our board's financial oversight and support STAND's mission to mobilise third-level students and graduates around global justice, equality and sustainability.

What the role involves:

• Chairing the Finance Committee and leading the board's review of financial reporting, budgets and controls
• Ensuring the board receives clear, timely financial information
• Supporting oversight of funding mix and donor concentration risk
• Working with the Executive Director and finance staff on the annual budget and financial planning
• Overseeing the organisational risk register with the committee

Who we're looking for:
Ideally a qualified accountant, or someone with a strong financial/accounting background, comfortable interrogating financial information and explaining it clearly. An understanding of charity finance and reporting obligations is a plus, along with a genuine belief in STAND's mission and values.

Time commitment: Six board meetings per year, plus Finance Committee meetings and preparation.
