STAND's Focus article Get Critical: Framework Adaptation for Critical Global Learning as Freirean Praxis and Pedagogical Inquiry has been published in Issue 43 of Policy and Practice, the peer-reviewed journal of development education and global learning published by the Centre for Global Education.

The article sits within the Focus section of the journal, which invites practitioners to reflect critically on their own work. In this piece, STAND examines how we adapt our educational frameworks to support critical global learning, drawing on the tradition of Paulo Freire to situate that process as both a form of praxis and an ongoing pedagogical inquiry. Rather than treating curriculum frameworks as fixed, the article makes the case for treating adaptation itself as a reflective, political, and educational act.

For anyone working in global citizenship education, development education, or higher education more broadly, this is a timely contribution to conversations about how we teach, why we teach it the way we do, and what it means to keep interrogating that practice.
