Solidarity and Action for Palestine

For the past month, the Global Sumud Flotilla has been sailing to Gaza with 40 boats and 500 international activists to break the illegal blockade and deliver hope, food and medical aid.

Last night and today, they were intercepted and many activists detained. This is a violation of international law. Their boats carried only aid. Yet they were met with force, while Palestinians in Gaza face genocide.

We stand in solidarity with the more than 500 activists who have joined the flotilla, risking their safety to challenge Israel’s siege. We call for their immediately release. We call for live-saving aid to be urgently delivered to Gaza and an immediate and lasting ceasefire.

Speak out, stand up, and demand justice for Palestine:

Keep the pressure up on the Occupied Territories Bill: In July, the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade unanimously recommended banning trade in both goods and services from illegal settlements. However, this is being stalled and at risk of being weakened by excluding services from the bill. Take action: write, call, or email your local representatives to demand this bill to be passed in full and as soon as possible, Find your local representative here: www.oireachtas.ie/en/members/constituencies/ - or head over to Trocaire’s email campaign: https://www.trocaire.org/petitions/act-now-for-palestine-rescue-the-occupied-territories-bill/
