Applications are now open for DEFY's 2025 course "Shifting Edges"
This course will run from January to September 2025, combining six online sessions with two (2) in-person workshops and a phase of action-experimenting. While the schedule runs for several months, “Shifting Edges” is designed as an ‘accompanier’. The course strives to resource and accompany, rather than burden (already over-stretched) educators.
The attached Info Pack carries more background to the course, structure and further practical info. It can also be accessed from our linktr.ee page.
The closing date for applications is Monday, November 18th - the application form can be found here.
DEFY welcomes applications from educators currently living in Ireland, Slovenia or Germany and working with young people around themes relating to social and ecological justice. If there folks living elsewhere who have interest in the program they can contact us at this email.

DEFY is made possible through the support of Erasmus+ and is a collaborative project between STAND (Ireland), Comhlámh (Ireland), finep (Germany), and Zavod Voluntariat (Slovenia).
Deep Dives
The online, monthly 'deep dives' are reflective spaces, loosely structured around a provocation or prompt from a writer, scholar, or activist. We (educators, those interested in education) listen/watch/read together and then share. An opportunity to explore discomfort and 'elephants-in-the-room' that bit more.
